Link Value — shows how much PageRank the page may potentially pass with a link. Roughly, the higher PageRank and the fewer outgoing links, the higher the link value.
Asta este definitia lor... desi eu sunt de parere ca e cam useless "Link Value". Sincer, nici eu nu-mi dau seama cum se calculeaza, insa nici nu tin cont de ea.
Din ce-mi dau eu seama, ei impart PR-ul la nr total de link-uri de pe pagina, nu doar link-urile externe, ceea ce mi se pare ok, avand in vedere ca asa se calcula initial PR-ul. Teoretic, s-ar imparti PR-ul la nr total de link-uri, indiferent ca-s interne sau externe: The Anatomy of a Search Engine
We assume page A has pages T1...Tn which point to it (i.e., are citations). The parameter d is a damping factor which can be set between 0 and 1. We usually set d to 0.85. There are more details about d in the next section. Also C(A) is defined as the number of links going out of page A. The PageRank of a page A is given as follows:
