Poti sa ii dai ce rel vrei tu la un link, atata timp cat nu e nofollow e ok.
Eu folosesc rel='external' pentru site-urile unde am sintaxa xhtml strict, vin cu un js si toate linkurile cu rel='external' le pun atributul target = '_blank' ( in xhtml strict nu se foloseste target pentru linkuri)
