E posibil, n-avem idee cine e implicat in proiectele astea de succes, sunt de parere ca multe proiecte de succes pot ajunge pe lista guvernelor lumii, serviciilor secrete, daca au ceva de castigat de pe urma lor, sau doar pentru a culege date despre proprietari pentru un santaj ulterior, interese de stat etc. Teorii ale conspiratiei exista si despre Facebook, doar un exemplu:
