Google will very soon be checking the verified sites. This is to check that the verification HTML file or meta tag still exists. If it doesn't, the site loses the verified status and you will no longer have access to site statistics and diagnostics.
As you add a site to your account directly or adding a Sitemap for it, Google makes statistics and error information available to you. Google verifies the site owner before showing the statistics and other errors. The statistics involve Crawl errors, Indexing information, Information about violations of the webmaster guidelines etc.. While the range of might-be errors include Compression error, Empty Sitemap, Invalid attribute value, Invalid date, Invalid tag value and Invalid URL, etc.
Vanessa Fox, Google Engineer adds, "If you find that a site that previously verified no longer is, simply click the "Verify" link on the My Sites page and upload the file or meta tag again."
Why do I need to verify my site?

As the web continues to change and evolve, our algorithms change right along with it. Recently, as a result of one of those algorithmic changes, we've modified our webmaster guidelines.Previously, these stated:
Don't use "&id=" as a parameter in your URLs, as we don't include these pages in our index.
However, we've recently removed that technical guideline, and now index URLs that contain that parameter. So if your site uses a dynamic structure that generates it, don't worry about rewriting it -- we'll accept it just fine as is. Keep in mind, however, that dynamic URLs with a large number of parameters may be problematic for search engine crawlers in general, so rewriting dynamic URLs into user-friendly versions is always a good practice when that option is available to you. If you can, keeping the number of URL parameters to one or two may make it more likely that search engines will crawl your dynamic urls.

O sa fie ceva de genul: Sunt advertizer -> fac o reclama de Free Ringtones -> aia de dau click sa intre ca orbii si sa nu vada ca de fapt nu sunt free -> sa-si faca un abonament de 20 de lire pe luna pentru un an in care eu le dau 10 ringtonuri mono -> pentru toata chestia asta sa dau 5 centi lu Google -> sa dea Google la publisher 2-3 centi.
Sa fim seriosi, o sa fie o catastrofa pentru publisheri. Noroc ca interesele noastre merg mana in mana cu cele ale G ca altfel chiar ca ar fi vai de noi.

Daca G crede asa de tare in conversii si in puparea advertizerilor pe toate partile de ce nu implementeaza sistemul asta pentru search? Ca searchul l-au protejat si cand cu smartpricing-ul.
PS: acuma am vazut: "Publishers can choose to diplay...." As vrea sa vad eu publisherul care "choose" astfel de reclame :D

sa speram ca unirea celor doua platforme (adsense si doubleclick) va aduce avantaje, atat celor care promoveaza prin acest canal cat si celor care afiseaza reclamele pe site-urile persoanle...
