Related Links, now with video

Earlier this year, we released Google Related Links, designed to deliver fresh content to websites through an easy-to-add module. With it, you can show your users related news, web pages and searches complementing the information on your pages.
In our quest to enrich what can be offered via Related Links, we've added another tab to the mix: now you can show videos in the Related Links box. Result: visitors have access to relevant quality video content, and you add more interactivity to your site. Learn more here.

Google To Check Verified Sites
Citat:
Posted in Google by Cathy on the August 7th, 2006
Google will very soon be checking the verified sites. This is to check that the verification HTML file or meta tag still exists. If it doesn't, the site loses the verified status and you will no longer have access to site statistics and diagnostics.
As you add a site to your account directly or adding a Sitemap for it, Google makes statistics and error information available to you. Google verifies the site owner before showing the statistics and other errors. The statistics involve Crawl errors, Indexing information, Information about violations of the webmaster guidelines etc.. While the range of might-be errors include Compression error, Empty Sitemap, Invalid attribute value, Invalid date, Invalid tag value and Invalid URL, etc.
Vanessa Fox, Google Engineer adds, "If you find that a site that previously verified no longer is, simply click the "Verify" link on the My Sites page and upload the file or meta tag again."
Why do I need to verify my site?
Citat:
Once you have added a site to your account (either by adding it directly or adding a Sitemap for it), we make statistics and error information available to you about it. Before we show you these statistics and errors, we verify that you are the site owner. This verification process ensures that only you can see detailed statistics about your site. If you have multiple sites, you must verify each separately.
Before your site is verified, you can see error information about the Sitemaps you've added. You do not have to verify your site to use the Google Sitemaps program.
Periodically, we check to see if the verification file still exists on your webserver. We do this to make sure you still own the site. If we can't find this file when we recheck, we ask you to verify again.
Multumim pt informatii :)
