Microsoft to Launch a new Analytics Tool
O zvâcnire. :goth:Citat:
The project, titled Gatineau (for now), will be released in an Alpha 1 version by the end of summer and has some promising features which should make Google scared, very scared. According to a Microsoft engineer, “Beta 1 will include the ability to segment data by both age and gender buckets, so you can get more of an idea of what kind of visitors you have.”
DAVEN who had a chance to preview this new tool called it “kick arse awesome” and added “Google Analytics is pretty darn good and the interface is rocking, But Microsoft is going to give you reports and visualisations that you haven’t seen before and data about you visitors like age and gender, seriously you just can’t get that data in any other service. I’m not saying Bail on Google Analytics run them both side by side then choose.”
Introducing Gatineau: Microsoft's New Web Analytical Tool!
Citat:
Gatineau, the latest from Microsoft which is to directly compete with Google Analytics is garnering a lot of praise even before it has been released on beta.
LiveSide, Microsoft's official news blog writes, "
Gatineau will allow users, once they have set up a profile and added a tracking script to their blog or website, to:
* View reports
* Manage goals
* Manage campaigns
Of course it's quite similar to Google's Analytics product (which has been recently revamped, to mixed reviews), but apparently Gatineau will be able to leverage Live ID information (without using any PII - personally idenitifiable information) to offer demographic information.
